History: Elena's parents met one night at a party, for once Richard Doyle was taking a break from his studies and he ran into then a Melanie Kennedy. While Richard did not believe in love at first sight, he was quite taken with the girl who was dancing before him. One night soon lead into a number of a dates afterwards, which took Richard a bit of courage to get. Even then, his catholic parents did not fully appreciate Melanie Kennedy for her major was in studies of Occult and Witchcraft legends and beginnings. Despite their disapproval, Richard continued to see her, and their relationship saw through after he graduated and went on to a law firm. Years later, they married and soon gave birth to a daughter which they chose to name Elena Doyle.
To say that Elena's birth had been a surprise was hardly an understatement. The Doyles believed that they were not going to have children ever, due to their busy schedule between Richard's law firms as well as Meleanie's college teachings. Also, due to Richard's slow rise in power, he generally tended to fear for Meleanie's well being as some of the people he put away behind bars were less than notable citizens, but they still had connections. However, they both coped with the surprise and couldn't imagine their lives without their daughter, who was full of spark and adventure. There was never a dull moment in their lives with their little bundle of joy, until the year where Elena turned twelve, then tragedy struck.
During a winter storm, Melanie Doyle lost control of her car and was part of a tragic car accident. With her death, Richard would have gone into a depression if it weren't for Elena and the realization that he still needed to take care of her. It was then when she decided that she was going to get out of New Jersey. Managing to keep her farther on his feet, and he quickly went back to working at his firms, Elena discovered the joy of horse back riding and started to put her full energy into that. She made a bond with a little mare by the name of Solaris at her stables, and together, they started to make a rather good team.
Being from a small town, her mother's death constantly seemed to be the talk of the town because it was so unheard of to die of anything other than old age, so Elena constantly had the story looming over her head. Deciding that she didn't want to uproot her father from their home and the town they grew to love, Elena started investigating in boarding schools that fit her needs and soon, she discovered one: Brighton Academy. Quickly, she applied behind her father's back and got in, and realizing there was nothing else she could do, she took her case to Richard. After a few days of consideration, Richard finally gave in and gave Elena his permission.
As a going away present, he surprised his daughter with Solaris, who he managed to convince the stables to sell her. So now, Elena and Solaris are entering the big bad world on their own, and she cannot wait to do so.

Personality: Elena is a quirky girl, and she doesn’t let other people’s thoughts bother her. She tries very hard to not be a wallflower and takes part in trying to stand out. Always looking for adventure or something exciting, Elena is the first to jump to take a ‘dare’ in Truth or Dare, or to try new, outrageous, or maybe even ‘dangerous’ things, such as sky diving or spelunking. Rather than wait around on a boy, Elena chooses to stick up for herself and to enjoy life to the fullest that it has to offer. She likes to pride herself on making friends and extracurricular activity. Due to her outgoing personality, people tend to know who she is, and perhaps a little too well. She tends to be popular but not for the usual reasons and diffidently does not hold the same status of any Queen Bees. Elena just is not the classic ‘it’ girl, nor does she command the attention of people like an army, she is perhaps the reject from the clique or the experiment gone wrong, just too friendly with not enough fakeness. She can get herself into a lot of trouble though because she doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut half the time.

Personality: Solaris is a loud little horse with a loud personality to match. She and Elena complement each other quite nicely. For the most part, Solaris doesn't appear to have a bad bone in her body although she prefers the company of smaller animals such as donkeys and goats than to full size horses. She's a quick learner and rather intelligent which can also get her in trouble as well. Solaris can be just as quirky as Elena when it comes to certain things, and is rather slow when being lead about, and always has to pause and look around before entering any enclosurer. She tends to enjoy lounging in the shade and eating more than working out, but Solaris will pick up her pace if given a little encouragement. She's a give and go kind of horse, and while she certainly will not make any championship shows, Solaris can certainly give a run for the money with local and state shows.
